Automated Online Marketing by TrafficWave.net

PLAN OF ACTION - STEP 3 - NICHE

Your niche could be one or more things. For example, my niche is marketing online. Within my main niche 'marketing online' I have several other niches all relating to business online. The time is now to begin thinking about your niche.

A good idea is to keep a sheet of note paper in one of your offline binders. Write down things you are good at, things you like, and things you would like to learn more about. Look at these examples :

  • Mary likes ebooks. She enjoys reading ebooks, downloading ebooks, and she has in essence became a pretty good judge of quality ebooks. Mary creates a website about ebooks. Mary then sells ebooks from her ebook site. Mary's niche? Ebooks.

  • John has been a carpenter all his life. He is very good at building and remodeling. However, his expertise is building decks. John creates a website about deck building. John then sells his various deck plans from his website. John's niche? Deck Plans.

  • Karen is a seemstress. She enjoys sewing most anything. Karen has made quilts, curtains, dresses, and well you name it...she has made it. The one thing Karen enjoys more than anything is making small decor items such as table linens. Karen creates a website and sells a variety of placemates that she has made. Karen even takes made to order requests. Karen's niche? Specialty Table Linens.

  • Sue has worked online in business for years. You name it, she has joined it. Even though Sue has not did very well in various opportunities she has learned and developed great copy writing skills. Sue creates a website and people pay her to do copy write work for them. Sue's niche? Copy Writing.

  • Ted is great at knowing what opportunities are going to be booming and what opportunities are a total dud. Ted creates a website based on his consultation skills. Ted's niche? Opportunity Consulting.
  • No matter what you do or who you are, you have special skills and talents. You may not have realized your niche yet. By keeping a list offline on a sheet of paper, you'll discover your niche.

After completing this step, go to step four.
