Backwards Marketing
by Valerie Underhill

Some years ago after I had joined a number of business opportunities, discovering I was doing something wrong, I created the term 'Backwards Marketing'. Because I was doing what the majority of people do when searching for a business opportunity. I was going backwards instead of forward.

It's common when people get online searching for a business opportunity, they join one or more. After all, what could be easier! They receive a replicated website and off they go into the world wide web trying to achieve referrals. The sad part is, many people do this practice for years without discovering what it really takes. It's like walking backwards, the faster you walk backwards, the faster you fall.

I discovered I was doing backwards marketing. I was going about it all wrong. What I first needed to do was implement 'common sense'. Then along with common sense, I needed to present common sense questions to myself. One such question was 'what is it successful people are doing?'. And that was my real starting place.

Successful marketers online have a website. I managed with some help, to get a website up and running. That was almost 8 years ago. Approximately 6 years ago, still with some help, I managed to place another website up. The first website was horrible so I deleted it. The second website was not a whole lot better but I started an ezine with it.

AGPCommunity.com has been online almost 6 years and now has over 10,000 subscribers. Over the years, I have redesigned the website. At one time it was a very large website with various pages and resources. Today, it's rather a small website with my old archives. I don't even publish a regular ezine issue any more.

I learned the hard way that having your own website was an important key to getting started in online marketing the correct way, the forward way. That really was the beginning of my moving forward in marketing online.

Over the years I have learned a lot and it really is due to having my own website. I went on to create and launch my own programs, professional company, more websites, etc. Having my own website made it much easier to build relationships with people all across the world. It was always easy to find me. Anyone can go to ValerieUnderhill.com and end up at AGPCommunity.com.

Recently I created MrBlueMarketing.com and dedicated it to my beloved pet that departed from this earth last year. MrBlue was always beside me during my struggles online...always under my desk, under my chair, at my feet...for literally years!

As a six figure income online work at home earner, I can truly say that backwards marketing will get you no where very fast. Instead, get on the right track and move forward in the correct manner.

Today I also create basic websites for my platinum team members in Kiosk. Kiosk is an affordable mlm business opportunity with quality services such as hosting, autoresponders, scripts, and more. It's a win/win business for myself and for my Kiosk team. I not only create a website for them free, I teach them how to manage their website, how to earn with free affiliate marketing, and more. If you are in the backwards marketing mode, it's past time to move forward.
