Ad Writing Tips
by Valerie Underhill
Ad writing can be a difficult chore made easier. A
major difficulty is being limited to the amount of ad
copy space. Another difficulty is simply not knowing
what to write. Even short ads can be improved by
following the tips below.
*Ask a question - people tend to notice questions
and will see if they have answered the question
correctly. Asking a question is a good idea especially
within subject lines.
*Avoid Exaggerated Claims - believable claims are
going to be taken seriously.
*Offer a Special - by offering a bonus or special,
more people are likely to visit your site or contact
you about your offer.
*Insert Contact Information - inserting as much
contact information in your ad, can help you
tremendously. There will be people that may
want to contact you about your offer. No
contact information, means possible loss of
sales.
*Follow Up - statistics tell us people need to see
your ad 7 times before they take it serious enough
to check out your offer. Utilizing autoresponders
with a broadcast feature is a great way to follow
up with your potential buyers. Inserting your
autoresponder email address in your ad copy, is
a good idea.
